Took me a little longer than hoped (but what doesn’t?), but Something in the Water‘s fourth installment is live over on the Instagram page. The story continues along as Faduma does a data dive, and young Will introduces us to his buddy, Meg. Art-wise (and while the story is important to me, this really isContinue reading “Something in the Water 4 is LIVE”

Another big year with the UFO Awards
The 2023 UFO Awards were an unexpected surprise insofar as it reflected 2022 work, my real comeback year in the United Fanzine Organization. And what a surprise it was! It’s hard to properly express how it felt, being away from the hobby for so long, to return and feel the appreciation of your peers –Continue reading “Another big year with the UFO Awards”

And while I’ll leave theContinue reading “Something in the Water #3 is live on Instagram”
2024: The Road Ahead
Nope, I’m not announcing the next theme of Strange Times. (But it would be a good one.) This is a personal statement. Because if you write it down or type it out, there’s accountability. And I want to be accountable. A positive side effect of sitting down and assembling the “2023 in Review” post was that I took stockContinue reading “2024: The Road Ahead”
2023 in Review
What a strange trip this has been! So much happening in comics, at home and in the world. I don’t know as it’s entirely appropriate to share everything outside of comics (as this is a comics-centric operation, you know), but a Year in Review needs to be posted to provide historical perspective…but also to give me timeContinue reading “2023 in Review”
