It was the genuine SPACE week as the show opened on April 27. So while a little of the “SPACE WEEK” branding dropped off, the content reflected material and people to be enjoyed at SPACE.
(And while I personally was unable to attend, I hope everyone who did had a great show!)
The Phoenix Spotlight was a big one, launching Strange Times #5 – the “My Best Joke” anthology. It’s a heckuva zine, hoping everyone grabs a copy for themself.
The latest edition of the amazing Columbus Scribbler was released this past week, and so I had to give the paper its due. Worthy of every Eisner Award nomination it has received. (But give them the trophy, voters!)
I snuck in a couple videos more directly related to SPACE on the “days off.” First was the announcement of the Larry Blake Tribute zine, co-published by yours truly and Bob Corby from Back Porch Comics.
And the SPACE Premiere Zines kept rolling in after last weeks video, so Bob and I thought another preview video would be appropriate.
And lastly, the Classic Zine of the week was one of the all-timers…Matt Feazell’s Cynicalman #1!
A busy week indeed, leading up to one of the pillars of the small press publishing world’s annual calendar.
Have a great week, everyone!
