We’re diving back into the Phoenix Masters archives to share some vintage Joe Hutchinson madness! Read on (and click the side arrows to advance through the comic)…
As a little background, this originally was an 8-page minicomic. The deep red reflects the choice in cover stock, something we would play with a lot when we made our photocopied DIY comics back in the 80s.
In addition, the slightly askew presentation of some pages represents how we received them. There’s a reason why photocopiers want margins, folks, and that’s to allow for imperfections like what you see here.
Regardless, this is an authentic digital reproduction of the minicomic in my possession. And it’s Joe Hutchinson craziness.

If you like what you’ve read, or want to read a cleaner, remastered, and full color copy in a larger format, then check out the Joe’s Comix: WILD KINGDOM compilation available right now at https://joescomix.com. Brother Daryl did an amazing job in remastering, reformatting and (OH YES) coloring everything. Considering where he started (like the pages you see above), it’s an incredible book!
