Phoenix Productions HQ is busy putting the Phoenix Masters minicomics lineup together on this #NobleHeadFriday, and I’ve discovered an Edward Bolman-sized hole in my library! Most of his work in my collection are contributions to anthologies…the type of material that doesn’t exactly work in the vein of “authentic reproductions” that I was looking for.
But you go with what you have…and so Edward and I are working through possibilities. Here’s one that didn’t quite make the cut, “Breakfast of the Damned” from the late Chuck Bunker’s Diddley Squat #5 (1987), an athology with a “Nothing But Commercials” theme. Classic Bolman cartooning, some fun verse…and a cute/curious piece:
