It’s been a looong time in coming, but I’m excited to report that The Collected Cranium Frenzy Vol. 1 by Steve Willis is live and ready for orders at Amazon!

At 199 pages, the first volume of this four-volume set collects issues 1-6 of Steve Willis’ masterwork. It’s the shortest of the four books, only because five of the six issues were originally published in a 7″x8.5″ (half-legal) format. These zines haven’t been printed in this size in decades, but they have been remastered and restored to their original glory!
Volume 1 covers the period of 1981 through 1990. Readers are treated to the earliest parts of Willis’ creative career, including the introduction of “Morty Mutt” – eventually recast as Morty the Dog. Willis’ art style evolves and sharpens, but his storytelling wit and style is on point right out of the gate.
Noted underground/nuwave historian Bruce Chrislip provides a Foreword, and editor/publisher Tom Fellrath offers an introduction with technical details.
