Among everything else, we made a little announcement…that being that the legendary small press/nuwave cartoonist, Steve Willis, has greenlighted Phoenix Productions to collect and reprint the entire 40 issue (so far) run of his Cranium Frenzy series!
Starting in 1981 and ending (or going on hiatus?) in 2024, Cranium Frenzy is a product of the mind of Steve Willis. Believe me when I say, there is no one like Steve. His work is funny, crazy, bizarre, contemplative…and so worth reading!
Don’t believe me? Want to know more? No problem! In the process of trying to figure out if I had the technical skills to do the work of making a top-flight reproduction, I whipped up a “Proof of Concept” zine for Steve using his Cranium Frenzy #1. Steve liked it enough to OK the project, so we agreed to put this test project out for free.
