Labor Day weekend saw me stomping around the Hocking Hills of Southeast Ohio with my family, gathered from far and wide. Good stuff. But I’m now late on FANzine Live video recaps. Will you forgive me?
Things kicked off per normal with a Phoenix Spotlight on the Hologram: Counting the Days Book One collection. Many thanks to the viewers who pointed out that the audio dropped out partway through. I think I have that issue corrected going forward.
Still, it’s a pretty neat story for a book that collects past works. Folks liked it…who knew?
Sunday gave us a quiet yet important video that reflected on the time traveling in Europe and the notion of doing World Zines videos and what I’m calling First Person videos.
That was followed up by a little preview of what will be coming in the days ahead…
Then back to normal with New Releases, shining the spotlight on Rick Bradford and his Poopsheet Foundation’s Wag Rag #9 and five other books that also just came in. The Poopsheet Foundation is so amazing; you really should be supporting it.
Lastly, the Classic Zines video looks at Victor Gates’ tiny but very satisfying Pocket Comics #1. Who says you need to make a giant, glossy zine to make a great impression?
There we go – another fun week of talking zines in the books! Thanks as always to everyone for watching, reading and sharing the comics and zine love. After you read a few zines this week, why don’t you LIKE the videos and SUBSCRIBE to the channel so YouTube puts FANzine Live out there even further for potential new viewers!
