Is this real life? Am I up to date with FANzine Live video recaps? Can’t be!
But it is, dear reader. With the recap for the Week of August 3-9, I’m all caught up. And my inventory of unaired videos now is REALLY small, so I need to keep plugging to share the zine love with everyone!
The Phoenix Spotlight looks at Hologram #7, where I take the artistic reins over and toy around with using Midjourney AI as yet another tool in the toolkit. Plus, it’s a double-sized issue with a whirlwind trip around the world for our guy, Joe!
I started emerging from the fog of jet lag this past week, giving me enough time to share perhaps the greatest “zine haul” video I will ever do. Ladies and germs, my Magnum Opus:
Oh yeah, the new comics for July as well….
For New Releases, it was Michel Fiffe’s self-published Creating COPRA. It’s an impressive process magazine detailing how he made it happen — both creatively and from a business perspective.
Finally, the Classic Zines video holds a soft spot in my heart as it looks at one of the great small press artists, Brad W. Foster, and the first issue of his Stuff anthology.
There ya go – all caught up from the month-ish away! Going forward, it’s my hope that I can pop these recaps out on Sundays. Travel and family stuff will impact that, but it’s good to have a general goal in mind.
Thanks for your ongoing support of FANzine Live! Don’t forget to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE…and ring any bells that you see!
