Hey, it’s hump-day! Whaddya say we look at some FANzine Live videos?
Today, it’s the Week of July 27-August 2. After five countries (and three really cool zine shops!), the trip ended and we got home late on the evening of July 30. It was an amazing trip, but three-plus weeks is a long time to live out of suitcases.
And now I have a TON of Euro-zines to share with all of you! But first things first, let’s look at those FANzine Live videos.
The Phoenix Spotlight was an intriguing one, the Small Press Interview project that never truly launched. I take a look at the zine, and the concept behind it, and wonder if it ever could work. (Spoiler: I’m an optimist at heart.)
In New Releases, I shared a submission from Doug Chapel, Ghetto Blaster #3. What energy in his work!
We wrap up the week with a Classic Zines video highlighting another of the great 80’s anthologies, Bird Comics #1.
Most all of the anthologies I’ve been highlighting have started modestly, but hang around to see how great they look a few issues in. Bird Comics definitely fits that bill…errr beak.
