Check out the FANzine Live action during the Week of July 13-19. You folks got to watch cool zine videos while I was baking in an un-air conditioned school in Vienna in 90-plus degree heat. The stuff we do for our kids!
The Phoenix Spotlight looked at Strange Times #2, one of my most acclaimed zines. The creators delivered in a huge way, the design was unique and the entire topic of shedding labels seemed to resonate. Plus, how about that Larned Justin cover?
In the world of New Releases, the Larned Justin love continued with Spacefalcon #1:
And the Classic Zines video looked at a random issue of Outside In, issue #32 to be exact.
This video has stuck with me, as has the whole concept of a cartoonist/artist self-portrait zine. Maybe I should do something with it…?
