FANzine Live: Week of May 4-10

A relatively normal (Is there such a thing?) week at FANzine Live.

The Phoenix Spotlight took a look at Hologram #2 and started truly telling the tale of our protagonist Joe.

It was Free Comic Book Day on the 4th, so I put together a video to highlight my haul. World’s Greatest Comics really puts on a nice event.

(Plus, they agreed to put my Planet Comics #30 miniposters out for customers!)

Looks sharp, doesn’t it? Planet Comics #30 hasn’t shown up in Diamond’s Previews yet, but you know I’ll make sure everyone knows when the time comes!

For the New Releases video, I enjoyed sharing the unexpected delight (on so many levels!) of Aimee Pong’s Are You the Girl from the Olympics?

Lastly, the Classic Zines video was about as big as they get. I nabbed a copy of Wallace Wood’s Witzend #2 on eBay and was so excited to share this amazing anthology!

What else has been happening, comics-wise? Not a ton, to be honest. I’ve been doodling around with a cartoony style and am trying to decide if I’m comfortable enough with that for my comics stories. If not, I’ll be working more on the realistic style that I’ve been trying to implement in my current minicomics.

I hope everyone has a terrific week! Next week’s videos are loaded up and ready to roll!
