An incredible side effect of Stephen Bissette’s endorsement of Matt Levin’s Strange Times #3 collection of Walking Man Comics is that it grabbed the attention of the Curator for Comics and Cartoons at Columbia University Rare Books & Manuscript Library. She ordered all three issues of Strange Times.
When I sent the shipping confirmation, I inquired whether this was a personal purchase or one for the Library. She replied:
“[Y]es, these will indeed be in the Columbia Libraries collections. They will probably go into the minicomic collection in Rare Books, rather than the circulating collection, but once I see them I’ll have a better sense. I could always ask the library to bind all three issues together, so that I can shelve them!”
So there you go, Strange Times will be on the shelves at Columbia.
