One of the main reasons I rejoined the United Fanzine Organization (Website, Facebook group) after lo these many years away from small press comics was the camaraderie and constructive support that the membership offers to one another. It comes in many ways, but a highlight is the member reviews of each others’ publications. (As a co-op, members are required to give copies of their UFO-branded material to all of the other members. A perk of membership: Tons of quality comics!)
I’m thrilled with the response to the three Phoenix Publications that went out in late December – Heroes Now #2, Heroes Now #3 and Strange Times #2. Many of the UFO members shared their thoughts on the zines in Tetragrammaton Fragments #269 (our co-op newsletter), and I thought it would be neat to share what the members had to say.

By now, I bet you can see why I was so excited at the UFO reviews. I’m grateful that the members took the time to read over the Heroes Now books and share their thoughts. It’s great to learn the opinions of people you know and respect…sometimes you get ideas for future growth, sometimes you just get a pat on the back!
