Back in May, I teased a character study of my Patriot character by small press legend Tony Lorenz. I also suggested that he was going to draw my one-shot script, wherein we bring the Cold War hero and his sidekick, Jeff, into the modern day.
Guess who’s been hard at work? Want to see some works in process?
Yup, over 30 years of story to tell in just over 30 pages. Patriot and Jeff have been all over the globe, in the best (and worst) places at the most exciting times. It’s gonna be a crazy ride.
Tony’s all but done with the pencils — yes, I’m only sharing rough layouts…some of which have been revised — and is chugging away on the inks.
We’re mulling over how to best release the book, which will proudly display the United Fanzine Organization logo and member checklist. The book is really something amazing, and Tony and I hope to rise to the occasion and help as many people as possible read it.
