I surveyed the landscape of comics and especially small press publishing before launching this site. And what I saw, after 30+ years away, was radically different than the world I operated in as a teen.
One of the biggest differences? The ascendance of digital comics. Whether Webtoons or Comixology or any of the many private, third party sites for sales, or Hoopla for reading through the library, it’s clear that people are reading comics on their computers, tablets and phones.
I may be dumb, but I’m not stupid. If digital is the way people are consuming comics, I would just scan and post the comics on this site! And 90+% of them are posted in PDF form in the Library. Go read! Have fun! They’re free! A gaggle of little small press comics time machines at your fingertips.
But then I started publishing new material. I also rejoined the United Fanzine Organization, and part of the co-op’s deal is that you share complimentary copies of your UFO books with the membership for goodwill and feedback purposes. And then I started sending out review copies. Of course, I also needed copies to send to contributors and collaborators. So yeah, I printed some of the new books. Life may be going digital, but it’s not all the way there yet.
Let’s make an ever-longer story short: I have a few extra copies of my newer books available for purchase. You can peruse what’s available and order at your convenience right here.
