Hey everyone – Sorry it’s been so long between updates. August has been largely about getting the kiddos ready for school, which just started today. But that’s not to say that I wasn’t busy….
- William Henry Caddell and I are cruising along on Hologram #2, and I am reasonably confident that we will have it ready for September 1 release on this site.
- I think I’m in the final stages of compiling Heroes Past, my collection of hero stories from the 80s with some new artistic contributions from many of the original artists. It’s been a fun process; every time I think I’m just about ready to go, Matt Kanaracus or I unearth some gem that of course has to go in the book. It keeps getting longer, and it will be worth the wait.
- Tony Lorenz is nearly finished with layouts for my big Patriot book. It’s quite nice, Tony is doing a bang-up job.
- Laser-Disc #1 is scripted, and David Tryzenski is laying it out. Dave’s such a talented artist!
- I dropped a 7-page column in the United Fanzine Organization newsletter, Tetragrammaton Fragments.
- And then, in the midst of all of this, Alan Groening and I started talking about doing something together. Out of this discussion emerged Strange Times, an anthology title that he and I will use to tell one-off short stories. Alan has the script for the first issue, a sci-fi piece.
- Lastly, I’m testing the waters for artists who might be interested in contributing a pin-up to the eventual Hologram collection that will come once we conclude the initial 12-issue arc. If you want to be part of this, please let me know!
So, yeah…lots going on. Can’t wait to share it with you!
